Lane Closed Ahead
A lane is closing ahead — merge required
One or more lanes are closing. You must merge safely into the open lane. BC uses the zipper merge — merge at the point of the closure, not far in advance.

In BC, the recommended merge practice is to use both lanes to the merge point, then take turns (zipper merge).
Pilot Car Follow
Follow the pilot car through the work zone
A pilot vehicle will lead traffic through the construction zone. Follow the pilot car and do not pass it. The pilot car sets the safe speed through the zone.
